it is common to see in tijuana complete families just walking or waiting around the streets, they arrive to Tijuana expecting the "coyotes" to help them cross the border illegaly, usually they don't have money to pay for a hotel or a place to stay, so they just gravitate around the city... waiting for a gap to open on the fence, heartbreaking scenarios

here are both fences, this is taken from the Tijuana airport parking lot, the closer fence (with the posters) is the mexican side, then there's a couple of feet of 'international' land, then the much taller and secure american side of the fence
